Guess who modified an existing iTMS compatible RSS feed instead of starting from scratch? And didn't get much sleep last night? ;) |

Well, I think the best bit has to be the intro music! However a good first effort. |

Wow, I'm pretty upset - I actually found it quite entertaining. I'd never realised quite how sad I was - listening to a RISC OS news podcast and finding it chortlesome indeed! Next thing I know I'll be bidding for that bit of Acorn user rock... |

Would it be possible to adjust the volume so it's at the same level all the way through? |

I can try normalising it next time out, but it was 3am when I finished so I just wanted to get it out :) In fact I actually went to bed before Audacity had finished outputting the file (it took about 10 minutes just to convert to a single WAV or MP3) - I took the laptop with me to bed, then uploaded the file and shut down the main machine by remote. |

That was pretty good fun, and it sounded like you're planning on making it a regular feature. How long before you regret that, I wonder! |

About two minutes after we started the first one ;) We've got half a script for the second one, but obviously it depends on news, user submitted content and people agreeing to interviews. Even if we get all of the above, I doubt we could do a full show every week for very long without running out of stuff to do; but news and (for example) user group dates could get old if we do the shows monthly. So I'm toying with the idea of more regular "podlets" and then a full show at the beginning of each month. Basically, tell all your friends, write in, and when we get enough content we can do the show! It doesn't matter how small the news - things fall through the cracks sometimes if they're not considered big enough to work up a couple of paragraphs for the front page, but could be ideal for the more rapid fire nature of the podcast where a single sentence can be slipped in. |

I thoroughly enjoyed that. The interview with Jason Tribbeck, when he talked of his first programming experiences, was particularly interesting. |

Glad you got it eventually :) I'll try to make a smaller version next time just for dialup users; but for the main version, I checked to make it sure that it wasn't hugely out of whack with what other people were putting out. |

Well, I would offer to contribute, but a discussion on where I found an Elite obsession from, and why I've never got around to producing any interesting software, despite meaning to have done for years probably wouldn't be that exciting. wrt the software, I've only just got around to starting to learn writing multitasking programs, despite meaning to since I was at school, and that was in the days when it was full of A3000s, and I was really excited about my second hand A310. |

I've been able to write things in BASIC, with small bits of assembler, for years. I've just never got around to learning anything WIMP-related, despite the years of meaning to, but the recently freely downloadable book on the subject may eventually change that. Back on topic, I'll consider thinking of 60 seconds to say on Elite. |

I didn't think it was that useful, I've never heard of anyone ever using it! It's certainly not a modern program, which is what I was talking about, since it needed to run on a BBC B (it should do, although I've only ever tested it on an emulator). |

Definitely. Fairly similarly, ported software can encourage people to stick around on the platform. |
