Ridiculous. I can totally understand why people want RISC OS to be spelt/pronounced correctly - but ROL is an extremely convinient abbreviation. You can't say abbreviations are wrong! True, I wouldn't use it in a formal document, but for casual conversations... |

Just had on Tomorrows world some new computery stuff. Virtual keyboard which is projected onto a flat surface, they're thinking they'll work their way into PDAs and mobile phones to make typing on them easier. Also a data-glove type keyboard thing where you wave your hand round in the air and twiddle a finger to activate a key. They're thinking it's going to be incorporated into a wearable computer (Headset project-onto-glasses type thing).... Just hope it's gonna be ARM powered  |

I think it's kinda cute  But from now on I must try to remember to call them ROLLY POLLY PUDDING AND PAUL... (anyone coming to watch me heckle in the waitfield theatres...???!?! ) --

Do you remember the person doing at great deal of heckling at Paul Middleton's talk at RISC OS 2001? Who was that? Does anyone know? Paul Middleton was getting really p ssed off  Cerilica's demo was really good - they obviously know how to work Vantage - I only know how to crash it |
