The problem with the poll is that it assumes ID will appear on RISC OS whereas I hold the opposite view. If ID really can hold it's head high next to modern PC games then I seriously doubt any current RISC OS machine (and possibly not even the Omega) will be able to run it in anything like its full glory.

OTOH Tek could be a real blast.

Yes, but read my other post on the 25th, A cut-down version for now would be highly enjoyable potentially.

I seriously doubt ID will make it on RO, in fact I rate the possibility at....ummmmm....0%.

Or alternatively people could offer to help with 100% committment e.g. Max Palmer the graphics artists for TEK.

You have to start with the assumption that it is going to be released, and hope that enough people saying "yeah, I'd buy it if it's released!" will help persuade the publisher it's worthwhile even trying. Ultimately any piece of software might not see the light of day, or change substantially, or whatever, but somewhere along the line you have to say "well, I assume Vantage will be a vector graphics package[1] and not an HTML editor, so let's base our work on that from now on until we hear otherwise".

[1] Vantage is of course a vector graphics package, but with so much multimedia and import/export stuff included now or being worked on it sometimes seems like its original purpose is not so important any more! wink

Let's hope the poll on TIB does just that.

I've now started to suffer from the problem that I'm playing TEK too much and keep getting diverted from the graphics tasks I should be doing (on TEK) !

That's very bad of you. Just give the game to me, and I'll do the playing for you while you get on with the graphics wink
