I've just updated Spamassassin - the one that came with Mandrake was getting old, and there isn't a proper update, so I had to compile my own RPM from source (queue much first time scariness). I've also changed some rules so Exim doesn't add spam reports even when the spam score is really low (despite what the config claims). Then I tried to add Razor2, which I'm not entirely sure is working yet, but it's not breaking anything either so I'll keep an eye on things. The Razor install required a load of new Perl modules to be compiled, so Perl buggering up is also something to look for (Net::* and Digest::* stuff especially). While I was in there I decided to install Geo::Postcode to do postcode to grid reference conversions, which hopefully I'll use in my postcode to Google Maps thing I'm looking at writing. Not quite sure where it decided to install the database though... ________ Cheers, Rich. |

No I checked the logs on the router to see if there was any dodgy traffic I could blame, but the household seems to be malware-free ________ Cheers, Rich. |

Ah well, maybe it's just a temporary ISP/network problem and will clear up in a few days. |

http://www.houseofmabel.com/places/index.html for the postcode to coordinate page. Only tested in Mozilla - unlikely to work in most RISC OS browsers. |

Where does that list the grid reference or long/lat coordinates of the centre point? If you do a search it doesn't even put them in the "link to this map" thing. While I was in there I decided to install Geo:ostcode to do postcode to grid reference conversions, which hopefully I'll use in my postcode to Google Maps thing I'm looking at writing.Like this? Mine is so that you can easily geotag web pages. Which means I have to have my own postcode DB as the Google aps API doesn't allow you to do a search first. ________ Cheers, Rich. |

Which means I have to have my own postcode DB as the Google aps API doesn't allow you to do a search first.I'd simply fetch a Google Maps URL like I posted, and parse the source for the '<center lat="51.500955" lng="-0.141568"/>' attribute hidden within it. |
