Unregistered user | Well, I voted that it didn't stop my buying new equipment. Why? Because I was all ready to figure out how to build myself a nice Linux box when I found out about the Omega... Hopefully, I won't be disappointed. Anyway, how did other people vote? |

Unregistered user | I'm fairly sure it *did* stop me buying a Viewfinder card - I'd already bought a Kinetic upgrade for my machine, but decided that if a completely new setup was going to be launched that was all-round superior to the RiscPC, I'd be better off saving for that. Having said which, I'm now very much tempted by the new Viewfinder upgrade, seeing as I've long since spent the money set aside for Omega on other (non-computer related) things. |

Unregistered user | I eventually purchased a RiscStation after my A4000 really became too painful to use for my dissertation. I wouldn't say the Omega affected my decision as I was more interested in Evolution (which I doubt will appear). The next thing on the list is a new PC laptop. Also because I only bought the RiscStation last June I probably won't be looking at new RISC OS hardware for a long time unless it offers me something I really can't do on the RS7500 or PC. |
