Anyone see the US versions of Steptoe ("Sandford and Son" and One Foot In The Grave ("Cosby" on beeb 4 last night? They took away all the dark moments, the dramatic elements, the grumpiness and the "bleeeeegh harold"ness to leave the one line gags. |

The two Red Dwarf pilots are... "interesting". (Actually, they're not quite as bad as they're painted; pretty poor really, but with some good moments.) |

I've not seen the US version of One Foot In The Grave (Cosby - what the hell?), but it doesn't sound good. Likewise, I doubt a UK version of Friends would work very well... |

Try Eastenders. |

The US version of The IT Crowd is pretty poor: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7XN6Q_qyLo And by pretty poor I mean bloody awful. But better than the German version. (I'm sure Graham Linehan tweeted a link to the full episode a while ago but I can't find it now.) |
