Unregistered user | Don't worry, not as bad as it seems - I just happened to be flicking through me Radio Times and saw the title of this film... http://www.radiotimes.com/servlet/controller?action=programmeDetails&pid=4427890&cid=49 |

Unregistered user | No, it's okay. Channel 5 are unlikely to ever show a decent film. |

Unregistered user | Speaking of Rutger Hauer playing a cyborg, Channel 5 does, occasionaly, (I think by accident) show a decent film. They had Blade Runner on the last time I bothered looking at the C5 listings (last year sometime). I'm so bored. Let's start a campaign to get Omega fitted with RDRAM support! Mmmm, 3.2GB bandwidth. |

Unregistered user | Looks like the FPGA version will arrive about the same time as the custom chips. Both schedules for mid-April. |

Unregistered user | <cynic> In real money, both will be bugged and need revisions to work, leading to a further 18month delay. </cynic> <optimist> <realist>

Unregistered user | <cynic> Interesting news indeed. On their site they say they have RISC OS 4.03 up and running (good!). And revisions are inevitable, but revising the configuration of a FPGA is a lot less traumatic (and less expensive) than fixing a bugged ASIC. Sendu is probably right we should see a prototype based on the revised motherboard by mid April (perhaps even in time your birthday mate). If that is the case and if the system is reasonably stable we should see a prototype by Wakefield, with the first batch released in mid to late May early June. Now cross all fingers and toes ...... |

Unregistered user | I want a real proper time machine as endorsed on TV by that man who was played by Sylvester McCoy, Patrick Troughton and Tom Baker, amongst others. Who? I can't remember where they got it from, but it was from a shop beginning with T and with 4 letters (there's more than one...), but someone who I know bought a computer, looked inside, and found most of the components had been attacked with a glue gun rather than affixed with the more usual screws. Shocking. Problems with the sonic screwdriver, mate. |

Unregistered user | I want a time machine! *N*O*!* I want a real proper time machine as endorsed on TV by that man who was played by Sylvester McCoy, Patrick Troughton and Tom Baker, amongst others. I want a real proper time machine so I can go forward however far into the future when my Omega will be ready! I can't remember where they got it from, but it was from a shop beginning with T and with 4 letters (there's more than one...), but someone who I know bought a computer, looked inside, and found most of the components had been attacked with a glue gun rather than affixed with the more usual screws.
