Unregistered user | Is it possible to create MPEGs from single sprites/JPEGs? ie-create animations that anyone with an MPEG reader can look at. I have a PC so if there is any software (preferably free) that can do this, so I can then put the MPEG back on a RISC OS machine, it would be nice. ;-) Come to that, what MPEG players are there available on RISC OS? |

Unregistered user | Don't know about creating MPEGs from sprites, but there are at least a couple of MPEG players about. The latest one I know of is !MPEG2 from Peter Teichmann's site (can't remember the address offhand). I also have one called !FASTMPEG which I got from somewhere a few years ago, but I can't seem to find it now. It's based on the University of California (Berkley)'s source code. I don't think that it's available any more though :-(. There is only one MPEG player on acornsearch and that's Peter Teichmann's. Neither play sound though :-( I can dig out the web address of !MPEG2 when I go home if you like. HTH, - incubus |

I couldn't see anything in a less than two minute random browsing but I'm certain you'll find some answers there. They've even got a forum there so you could ask. Gulli |

does anyone know where i can get VCDs in the UK, as im thinking of getting the Napa MP3 player (which uses CD to play the MP3s) but from look at reviews, it also has very good support for VCDs, so i was thinking of getting some for it. anyone know anything about them?? |

Unregistered user | try McNo, www.mcno.com for UK disks. There are 2 types of import disk available. (at boot fairs, computer fairs etc.) One sort has High quality labels and the other sort has single colour printing on the disk. I think the latter are pirate disks, they have awful quality and should be avoided. Note !CDBurn cannot duplicate VCDs (yet). |
