I believe it needs OS 5 due to requiring quite large amounts of RAM for a RISC OS program. I remember it had issues running on VRPC, for example. OS5 + 128MB should be sufficient, so yes, it should probably work on RPCemu, but whether it also needs later ARM instruction support, I don't know. It didn't *seem* to when I last tried it, but as I say, I didn't get very far with that VRPC test - it ran out of RAM during login. |

thanks Andrew yes I actually managed to get it working by doing the same after trying other oses interestingly it didn't work on riscos 6.20 which I thought was strange so after that I just tried riscos 5 and it worked I was surprised because I would have thought it would have worked on riscos 6.20 |

6.20 isn't 32bit. To use >28 MB of RAM in wimpslot, you need RISC OS 5. That's what I meant by it needing a large amount of RAM for a RISC OS program. |

I think it also uses Unicode, so needs the RO5 font manager (it died with a font error when I tried it on RPCEmu with RO3.71). |
