Hi there, I'd like to know where can I buy this version of the game, if it's still being sold. It seems to be the only 32bit version around, hence the only version natively compatible with the Raspberry Pi! Oh! And a downloadable version would help, since I don't have any floppy disk drives around. Even my Amiga 1200 is floppy-less. thanks [Edited by gaula92 at 14:17, 16/11/2012] |

I was discussing this the other day, we're not sure who modified it or who holds the distribution rights. I believe it was sold with the Iyonix, preinstalled, but am not 100% certain on that either. The original version is free as part of JASPP, although I've yet to test it on a Pi, as its not been contributed to the project yet. |

It came pre-installed on the Iyonix hard disc. |

So, the only way to get this game on the Pi is to buy an Iyonix? Well, since it's not being sold anymore, maybe it could be uploaded somewhere. The original version seems to be free and the Iyonix one never went on sale, it seems. |

Whoever modified it holds copyright on it, so no it can't be given away for free without a release. If I can track down who modified it, I'll have that discussion with them. In the meantime, I'll try the original version on the Pi and report back. If I can get it working, I'll send you a copy - drop me an email: jon at jaspp dot org dot uk If anyone has an original copy of Zool (the two floppy protected version, not the single floppy Action pack version) that can image it, please contact me. EDIT: I've now received the original floppies, thanks for the prompt response. [Edited by sirbod at 21:26, 16/11/2012] |

Iyonix Zool was by James Byrne (original RISC OS coder), I think, but used on Iyonix bundle via us (we held/hold rights). However, since we included Zool in the JASPP deal, I would have thought Jon / JASPP would be a good place to start. I'll see if I can find the game for you. Failing that, I think I can still sell it (Zool was part of the Krisalis CD), but I'm guessing that JASPP would be the best source for it now now |

All sorted now, the 32bit version of Zool works natively on the latest development build for the Pi. It won't work on the release build however, |
