Is Ebay a good place to sell old text books? If not where would you recommend? An alternative is to offer them on this website. I might be interested in some of them. Others may also be. |

Thanks I didn't think of that. Would they be likely to sell quicker on Amazon? They're not IT books. Books can take a while to sell, but it depends on how you price them. The advantage with Amazon compared to eBay is that you don't have to keep relisting and paying the associated fee for things which don't sell quickly. You can also adjust the price at any time in response to other sellers' prices. |

Books are one of the few remaining bargains to be had on ebay. Not that attractive for selling them I would've thought. |

If you can afford to bide your time, Amazon Marketplace is the superior choice for selling books. It's also a good place to go to find out how much a second-hand book is 'worth'. I recently bought a book from a charity shop for £2, then looked on Amazon and found it was selling there for more like £40!
As you can probably guess, I did sell the book. I had it listed there for less than a month. |

I think that Amnesty books might do. You could check with them (surely the largest one - Hammersmith? - would). But unfortunately they only have 6 bookshops.
Also, I'm sure that Oxfam books (especially in university towns) do.
(All depends how obscure the subjects are, I guess.) |

They will get more money that way. Charity shops often sell at knock-down prices well below the market value of what they sell. |
