With apologies to those in the southern hemisphere, who may be celebrating on the beach... here's an unashamedly non-RISC OS-specific seasonal greeting, the like of which we've all seen (too many times) before.
I know it's a little early for this, but Merry Christmas and Happy New Year anyway to everyone for maintaining the site and contributing here And, on a slightly more serious note, are there any plans for awards this year? |

non-RISC OS-specificI've always hated that construction; it always reads like "non-RISC, OS-specific" to me. But anyway, I was rather curious: who or what is "jgs"? |

It's "Joel Grounds Software", the pretend software company I set up when I was six years old. It's not, but I do love blowing my own troovle You could say "non-riscos specific", but then the sky would crack open and things would pour out.... |

http://ascii-art.com/non-RISC OS-specificI've always hated that construction; it always reads like "non-RISC, OS-specific" to me. But anyway, I was rather curious: who or what is "jgs"? Joan Stark, apparently. Some ASCII Artist person thingie. |

How about "non-(RISC OS)-specific"?non-RISC OS-specificI've always hated that construction; it always reads like "non-RISC, OS-specific" to me. Probably, and retained in the included work on the compilation site on which I found it. I was hardly going to plagiarise it by substituting my own initials! But anyway, I was rather curious: who or what is "jgs"?http://ascii-art.com/ [Edit: BTW, I'm surprised no one's commented on the inaccuracy of the snowflake construction!] [Edited by trevj at 22:59, 6/12/2010] |
