Lowering the tone since the dawn of time

That's the approximate rate of acceleration I will hopefully* be able to achieve in February, because I've just provisionally booked an accelerated freefall course (in California).

* Hopefully, because the dates are very provisional - they didn't provide dates the course is available, instead you just specify dates, so they're subject to change, and also because it's entirely possible that I might not be allowed to do it: I have to get an MOT from my doctor first because I'm 40+.

Incidentally, and to avoid confusion, the 'accelerated' in the term 'accelerated freefall course' has nothing to do with the fact that you accelerate towards the planet. It's called that because it's the 8 level course done in a short space of time, rather than 'as and when' for each level.

Oh, I thought you were going to freefall while also being cranked down with a rope or a small rocket or something.

Advice: practise sphincteral control in preceeding weeks.
