Would it be too much effort having asked and somebody having made the effort to send it to me to add the Karma manuals to Acorn Arcade please? Also, if you could provide an email address rather than a web form to send things to that would be useful too. Thanks. [Edited by andrew at 19:20, 25/4/2007] |

What was karma like? i remember reading it was some kind of weird flight sim or something? Also whats the best way of preserving old games? is there a program that will image a disc with copy protection. Ive got loads of old acorn games and worry about how long the floppys will be ok for. |

A310em should be able to do that: http://home-1.worldonline.nl/~jandboer/ Karma Sprite attached. It's a space sim. although I became unstuck trying to search through dozens of beacons and satellites trying to find the instructions for the next mission [Edited by andrew at 12:22, 26/4/2007] |

What was karma like? i remember reading it was some kind of weird flight sim or something?Honestly, it was boring it was supposed to be an introduction to learning to fly the ship before the later versions came out and added more things to do than "Fly to point X and get the location of the next place to fly". Also whats the best way of preserving old games? is there a program that will image a disc with copy protection. Ive got loads of old acorn games and worry about how long the floppys will be ok for. There's a disc imager for windows (95/98/me not 2000/xp) that I've used, but not on copy protected discs. It might work on them as well though. Can't remember the name though, DImage maybe? |

P - yes you can read in the disc and then save out. It saves having to put a security disc in and Jan de Boer even cracked the protection for some discs which used the disc map |

Speaking of which, what about all the excellent little *info apps from over the years? Were they ever collected on an AUCD or anything? I have almost all the AU floppies from something like 1992 to 2002 or so (I don't recall exactly, since they're not in the same country as me right now). Hmm. www.star.info - that'd be a nice place to host them... EDIT: just as I posted that, it occurred to me to check the URL. It seems to be some survey about synaesthesia [Edited by filecore at 18:22, 26/4/2007] |

Would it be too much effort having asked and somebody having made the effort to send it to me to add the Karma manuals to Acorn Arcade please? Are these the ones you want uploading? If so, I'll put them in the downloads folder the next time I have a chance. Also, if you could provide an email address rather than a web form to send things to that would be useful too. Thanks.Unfortunately the email addresses for TIB/AA receive a phenomenal amount of spam, so we don't publish them anymore. In fact I think all the AA addresses are now disabled, so if you want to get in touch by email make sure you use a TIB address. And if you don't know what TIB address to use, then just send it to the news address (I'm sure you can work out what that is ), or (person) at iconbar dot com if you want to contact someone individually. Valid persons at this point in time appear to include rich, andypoole, andrew (duffell), phlamethrower, monkeyson, and moss. There are a few other people as well, but they probably aren't worth talking to |

Done! Also whats the best way of preserving old games? is there a program that will image a disc with copy protection. Ive got loads of old acorn games and worry about how long the floppys will be ok for.In our downloads section we have a utility for removing the copy protection from 4D games, but I'm not sure if there are utilities for any other games (or copying discs in general). |

More missions and a very awkward flying system making combat far more difficult IIRC. |
