Unregistered user | There's no mention of a FireWire port on it despite Millipede being video processing specialist. Surely that's some mistake on their site? The mistake being they forgot to mention it, or that they aren't including it? Because they've never suggested having a firewire port before. They're video specialists but the motherboard isn't anything special in that department. They may or may not produce cards for that special video port that will let you upgrade to firewire, digital video output etc., but not as standard. Unlikely though, given that there isn't any software that can take advantage of firewires main use: recording, editing and outputing digital video from a camcorder. As far as I'm aware that is. For the whole consumer video editing firewire thing, Millipede fully agree that an Apple setup is the way to go, and that it would be quite difficult to do with RISC OS stuff. |

Unregistered user | There's no mention of a FireWire port on it despite Millipede being video processing specialist. Surely that's some mistake on their site? That they aren't including it! I just figured since they claim to specialize in and I quote "...computer motherboards and specialist professional video processing hardware, specifically for the RISC OS operating system" I thought they might have wanted to have that option available on a motherboard designed by themselves.
They haven't suggested including a firewire port at all (not to me at least), I just figured it was pretty strange not to include the port for their own use. If they're set on Apple being the way to go what on earth are they doing on RISC OS? Not that I want them away - just seems a strange way to work. |

Unregistered user | No, you've not gone stupid (unless I have gone too ) not a single mention of the Nucleus there anymore. Good looking site though. Hope they've just decided to keep a lid on the Nucleus for a while or someone else has taken over the project. Has anyone heard anything more about the Millipede boards? Maybe that's why everyone's quiet, either the Millipede board has been ditched or it's getting close to production - Wakefield anyone? Gulli |

Unregistered user | Maybe that's a sign I just looked at the Imago motherboard specs and noticed something I hadn't thought of before. There's no mention of a FireWire port on it despite Millipede being video processing specialist. Surely that's some mistake on their site? |
