I'd like there to be passwords for *everyone*
:)

but that could just create problems, like last time.
But then whoever is causing problems can have their password removed :)

I suggest that for now, only one person uploads new stuff ( :mentat: ) - this could well change in a few months when everything is up and running.
Aw :(

Perhaps if mentat is in charge of the main site, but other people are allowed to upload stuff to their own areas? e.g. I'd be able to upload any chat room/SENSORED! stuff. Whether the restrictions would be enforced by the site manager script or on basis of trust is open though; I'm guessing that rich's site manager script should be able to restrict you to a single directory, but I'm not sure how it'd handle multiple dirs (e.g. chat room & Sensored).

But then again I still haven't started anything for Sensored.

I've just emailed :mentat:, so let's see what he says. I take the point about removal of passwords :)

It's best to be over-cautious this time until everything's going, rather than it all go to pot again :| The only reason *I've* got one at the moment is because :mentat: hasn't been around.

Can I just point out that no-one "uploads" anything[*], you edit the pages directly. You just bring the content, the template system provides the rest.

This way, whenever someone gets a good idea they can have it up on the website in minutes, from whatever web browser enabled computer they happen to be sitting next to.

[*]Well, okay, you can upload images and the like if you want to, via another web page. But you don't have to.

It only works on one directory anyway - figuring out which directories to drill down in to to find HTML pages would have been a nightmare. I'd suggest that the chatroom is unlikely to gain anything from being in the template system - it's PHP, frame based, and the content isn't exactly static - and if Sensored has to be in another directory you just get another login and treat it as a separate site (which is what it seems to be).
